This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative and dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:

Handle product liability litigation from inception to resolution, including pre-trial preparation, discovery, motions, and trial.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and defense.Draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with state and federal courts.Manage the discovery process, including taking and defending depositions, preparing discovery requests and responses, and coordinating with expert witnesses.Attend court hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.Assist in trial preparation, including developing trial strategies, coordinating with trial teams, and preparing witness testimony and exhibits.Communicate effectively with clients, providing legal guidance and regular case updates.Work collaboratively with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure efficient handling of cases.Negotiate settlements where appropriate and engage in alternative dispute resolution.Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum 2+ years of litigation experience, ideally with a focus on product liability or similar complex litigation.Experience managing discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation is required.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Strong academic credentials are required.

Licensure and Certifications:

Active member in good standing of the California State Bar or the ability to be admitted via waiver or reciprocity.

Preferred Experience:

Federal clerkship experience is strongly preferred but not required.

Skills and Qualifications:

Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced litigation environment.Strong verbal communication skills for interactions with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.Proven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with senior attorneys and support staff.Detail-oriented with superior organizational and time management skills.Proficiency with litigation software and e-discovery tools is a plus.Strong negotiation skills and experience in settlement discussions.
