We're seeking a future team member for the role of Transaction Manager to join our team. This role is located in New York, NY, and is a Hybrid Position.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Responsible for all activities supporting acquisition and disposal of the real estate portfolio and space needs across business units, geographies and regions
  • Uses extensive industry experience to propose effective solutions to optimize the real estate portfolio while ensuring business needs are met and critical dates are evaluated
  • Develops and fosters well-established relationships with global and regional leaders to effectively communicate and execute the agreed real estate strategies
  • Advises senior business managers and partners along with functional leaders to successfully execute commercially sound real estate transactions
  • Partners with key finance and accounting personnel on annual budgeting, capital planning and all financial impacts of regional real estate strategies and transactions
  • In the course of the transaction execution, partners with key functional colleagues in design and construction, engineering, facilities management and corporate services and ensures an appropriate level of awareness among senior management throughout the organization
  • Recognized within the business and across the industry as a leader who drives value-added real estate solutions and meets all compliance and regulatory requirements; well versed in the real estate brokerage business
  • Responsible for day to day management of outsourced real estate transactions partners

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • BA required; Masters, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years in the commercial real estate business as a corporate real estate professional or real estate asset manager
  • Seasoned transactions management experience
  • Proved skills in contract review and lease/purchase and sale negotiations
  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting impacts; high level of business acumen
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent negotiating, analytical, communication, collaboration, organizational/planning and process skills
  • Outstanding client service skills and team leadership
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office, including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook)

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $122,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
