Overview: the Estimator will play a critical role in evaluating project plans and specifications, and preparing cost estimates for landscaping design, construction, and maintenance projects. This position involves working closely with the design team, project managers, and clients to develop accurate and competitive bids that align with the company's standards of quality and client expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience in landscaping industry construction and maintenance, combined with a strong understanding of budgeting, material costs, and industry-specific labor requirements.

Skill set and educational requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field, or the equivalent in experience.3+ years of experience as an Estimator in the landscape design/build or construction industry.Strong knowledge of landscape materials, plants, irrigation systems, and construction practices.Proficiency with estimating software, as well as MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills, with the ability to present estimates and proposals clearly to clients and internal teams.Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain thorough documentation.Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.Previous experience working with Aspire software is a plus.Duties/Responsibilities:

Review project designs, blueprints, and specifications to create accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.Perform site visits to assess existing conditions, potential challenges, and specific project requirements.Develop detailed and itemized cost breakdowns for landscape design, construction, and maintenance services.Collaborate with the design and project management teams to ensure that estimates reflect the scope and vision of the project.Solicit quotes from vendors and subcontractors for materials, services, and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness.Monitor and track changes in project scope and update estimates accordingly.Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of landscaping materials, construction methods, and labor rates.Work with the project management team to help ensure that projects stay on budget and within scope.Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs, making improvements to the estimating process.Assist in value engineering efforts to reduce costs without compromising project quality or client expectations.Stay current on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and best practices for landscape design, build, and maintenance services.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.• Perks & Benefits of Becoming a Full-Time Quiet Village Oasis All Star •
