This position serves as a Junior Application Developer /Analyst performing difficult and specialized professional Information Technology (IT) work and technical advisory functions for DoIT/IDoC. In this role you will perform technical advisory functions in the evaluation of standards,

procedures, and techniques to determine the feasibility of conversion to data processing systems. In addition,

Essential Functions

Under general direction, serves as a Applications Developer/Analyst I for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC).Actively participates in the analysis, development, design, coding, testing and documenting of complex projects dealing with offender and juvenile management applications, programs, and systems, using Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services & Entity Framework, JavaScript, .Net, C#, Microsoft Azure, Blazor, Bootstrap, Power BI, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.Interviews and consults with users regarding revisions, maintenance and improvements to existing systems or development of new systems.Keeps abreast of new developments in Web Application Technologies and DevOps fields.Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields.Requires one (1) year of professional experience in application development or a directly related Information Technology field.

Specialized Skills

Requires one (1) year of professional experience in Web Application development including analysis, design, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Enterprise level web based online applications.Requires one (1) year of professional experience utilizing C#, Visual Studio, .Net, Entity Framework, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, and Azure DevOps to develop, test, deploy, and manage IDOC applications, databases, and resources.

Preferred Qualifications

One (1) year of professional experience in Web Application development including analysis, design, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Enterprise level web based online applications.One (1) year of professional experience utilizing C#, Visual Studio, .Net, Entity Framework, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, and Azure DevOps to develop, test, deploy, and manage IDOC applications, databases, and resources.One (1) year of professional experience utilizing Entity Framework Core, Blazor, Bootstrap, Power BI, and SQL Server to develop, test, deploy, and manage IDOC applications, databases, and resources.One (1) year of professional experience utilizing .Net to program customizations for Microsoft CRM Dynamics 365One (1) year of experience working on a development team utilizing Agile and DevOps methodology.Extensive knowledge of the methods, procedures, and techniques of conducting feasibility studies for system conversions and enhancements.Ability to analyze d ata logically and exercise sound judgment in defining and evaluating problems of an operational or procedural nature.Developed verbal and written communication skills to present information to others with clarity and precision.Ability to gain and maintain effective working relationships with associates, vendors, clients and others.
