They will be the lead representative managing the CROs to ensure execution of robust study designs and deliver clear, rigorous, interpretation of the data. This person will also design and implement in-house analyses of animal tissues following the conclusion of in vivo studies, with a heavy emphasis on histological readouts (immunofluorescence/immunohistochemistry). Additional analyses such as plasma biomarkers and gene expression may be executed either in-house or outsourced to CROs. The candidate will also have a good understanding of PKPD relationships and contribute towards early biomarker discovery and development. This person will be responsible for managing and training a research associate to perform the tasks above, and may be required to execute complex experimental protocols to establish new assays and troubleshoot issues prior to standardization of assays.
