Summary:

The Vice President of Facilities and Maintenance oversees the upkeep of all GES and GCI properties, managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and event coordination. This role demands strong communication skills, attention to detail, project management experience, and the ability to support the business and community needs of Guadalupe Educational Schools and Guadalupe Centers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of multiple projects.

Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

Be the technical liaison for all permitting with the city, and or general contractors for specific projects.

Able to manage project scopes, schedules, and costs.

Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Responsible for maintaining a current Facility Conditions assessment in all buildings.

Meet with clients or third party vendors or contractors to specifications, and or requirements of each project.

Ensure that the CFO is aware of all financial requests prior to authorization of release of funds.

Follow board and or committee protocol when reporting information related to facilities.

Keep all leadership staff members informed of project progress whenever possible.

Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.

Maintain spreadsheets, diagrams, blueprints and process maps that support facilities and or the operations thereof.

Keeps buildings safe by making sure the building codes and requirements are met or exceeded.

Works with management to report problems, solutions, and costs associated with all facility-related issues.

Meet weekly one-on-one meetings with the COO, to debrief ongoing and or pending projects.

Promotes a positive team attitude with employees, temp hires, and or volunteers.

Ensures compliance and implementation of policies as they relate to facilities or personnel.

Serves as the organizational contact for facility-related emergencies, which may require evening or weekend work.

Ensure all organizational policies and procedures are consistently followed in the performance of assignments.

Responsible for maintaining and updating all facility and maintenance contracts.

Responsible for all facility inspections and safety standards.

Manage all special and community events.

Assists the maintenance department in any way when not performing facility functions.

Supervise and manage all facilities and maintenance managers.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 5 to 10 years of job-related experience preferred.

5 years or more of job-related experience is required.

Supervisory skill set to work in a collaborative team environment.

Working knowledge of HVAC and Electrical systems.

Personal transportation to perform duties at all sites.

Good Interpersonal Communication Skills is a must.

Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines.

Work well both independently and collaboratively with others.

Interact respectfully, professionally, and compassionately with diverse people, both in individual and group settings.

Ability to learn and competently operate job-related tools and equipment as needed.

Proficient in computer applications using Word, Excel, and Google documents.

Knowledge of Security cameras and emergency notification systems.

Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment. Guadalupe Centers serves a diverse population, including children, adolescents, and adults, some of whom may have mental or behavioral health problems.
