Vouchers 4 Veggies – EatSF (V4V)

is an innovative healthy food voucher program aimed at increasing access and affordability of healthy foods for low-income households. V4V not only provides people with crucial resources to purchase healthy food and improve their health, but also helps address food deserts by supporting the ability of food vendors to stock fresh produce. V4V is an evidence-based program whose outcomes consistently demonstrate improved food security, diet quality, and increased access to healthy food. V4V operates in partnership with dozens of local community-based organizations to reach thousands of low-income households and the program, which has been nationally recognized as a model for improving nutrition security in underserved communities, has been replicated in communities across the country.

V4V seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented administrative assistant to ensure the high impact program continues to operate efficiently and effectively. This position will support the growing administrative needs of the V4V program, including oversight of benefits inventory, voucher processing and preparation of disbursement requests for vendor reimbursements, assisting with customer service and vendor relations, submitting expense rep orders, and providing administrative support to the Executive Director (for example, manage their calendar).

Required Qualifications

High school graduation and three years of related administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working knowledge of administrative procedures and processes including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.

Requires verbal and written communication skills, active listening, critical thinking, multi-tasking, and time management skills.

Skill in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.

Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.

Proven attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of UCSF systems, such as MyExpense and Bear Buy.
