Summary of Job Duties:

The HR Director develops policies, directs, and coordinates human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services.

The HR Director is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources office.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training and supervising HR employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Develop, recommend, and carry out human resources programs in support of the strategic goals of the College.

Advise College administration on human resources legal matters concerning the college.

Review, develop, recommend, and maintain the College’s HR and payroll policies and procedures.

Assure consistency/compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

Coordinate and implement programs related to the college’s Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Program.

Work with the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration to coordinate new and continuation requests for positions regarding new and existing grants.

Prepare and submit various reports to relevant Arkansas departments.

Support and assist the College’s administration and managers in addressing employee concerns.

Lead and collaborate with College managers with developing and coordinating recruitment activities.

Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of HR records.

Ensure appropriate selection, supervision, and professional development of Human Resources and Payroll staff.

Coordinate & regularly update the university Human Resources (HR) website.

Serve on internal and external committees.

Participate in professional organizations, attend conferences and workshops.

Coordinate and communicate with system attorneys on HR issues requiring legal assistance.

Expected salary range:

$60,000 - $65,000

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with three years of Human Resource related experience/training. Combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Salary Information:

$60,000-$65,000
