Job Goal:
Supervises and coordinates activities of administrators and staff who are engaged in school improvement, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), social emotional learning (SEL), federal grant and other grant managed programs, and supports the cross-functions of staff at both the district and school level.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities)
Minimum of Master’s Degree; Administration and Supervision Certificate
Minimum of five years of combined teaching and administrative experience
Bilingual Preferred
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervises and evaluates the following departments and programs: Family and Community Engagement, Federal Programs, Counselors, Deans, Social Workers, MTSS.
Oversees and monitors federal legislation, projects and programs such as Title I, Title II, Title III and Title IV for opportunities they offer for educational grants, entitlements, and allocations relevant to the needs of the district.
Monitors the district-wide and school improvement plans.
Supports the college and career readiness goals of the district.
Coordinates the school improvement planning process and informs the school improvement plan.
Follows all federal and state grant guidelines including submitting required and requested documents in a timely manner.
Works with Office of Business Operations to support preparation of the budget.
Attends training pertaining to federal grant management.
Supports the attainment of strategic plan goals.
Monitors, evaluates and supports the implementation of MTSS, SEL and other interventions for Tier 2 and Tier 3 students.
Supports and monitors school improvement and grant-funded initiatives.
Supports the implementation of PBIS at the school level.
Collaborates with the Director of Elementary Education and/or the Director of Special Education for universal screening and assessment.
Evaluates, reviews the performance of, and assists in the evaluation of grant funded staff at the district level and at the school level.
Compiles and maintains written records and reports on results of all federal projects and disseminates this information, as appropriate to other educational institutions, lay groups, the state department of education, and the US Office of Education.
Performs any and all other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Superintendent.

Working Conditions and Physical Environment
Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, to enter data into a computer terminal; hear and understand speech at normal levels; physical agility to lift up to 50 pounds; to bend, to stoop, to sit on the floor, to climb stairs, to walk and to reach overhead. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to angry students/parents and neighborhoods considered to have high levels of violence potential.
