The Driving Club has extensive facilities for athletic pursuits, dining and entertaining, and the most beautiful and elegant banquet facilities in the southeast.Our Main Clubhouse, located in Midtown Atlanta, offers both casual and formal à la carte dining in various settings and banquet space to accommodate private functions ranging from intimate dinners to events for 800 or more.Superior athletic facilities at this location include men's and ladies' health clubs, tennis courts, squash courts, and an Olympic-size swimming pool. Our Athletic Department offers a variety of health and fitness awareness programs in addition to state-of-the-art fitness equipment and expert guidance from our staff.In 2000, the Club opened a second facility in southwest Atlanta for golf and recreation. This location offers an 18-hole championship golf course, 9-hole 3-Par course, Clubhouse and locker rooms, boating, fishing, and walking trails. Casual dining is available six days a week at the Golf Clubhouse and informal private functions may also be hosted at the Clubhouse.The Main Clubhouse, except athletic facilities, is closed on Monday. The Food & Beverage Supervisor ensures high standards of appearance, hospitality, and service in both the dining room and banquet areas. Responsibilities include cleanliness of the dining room and banquet areas, timeliness of food service, and supervision of all dining room, banquet service, and bartending staff. The supervisor assists with member requests, celebrations, complaints, and concerns while ensuring the efficient operation of service and bar staff.Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and ExpectationsResponsible for supervising service staff in both dining and banquet areas.Maintains a high level of member contact throughout service hours.Job Tasks/DutiesAssures high standards of cleanliness, appearance, and safety in all dining and banquet areas.Inspects and ensures that employees are always dressed in proper and clean uniforms.Directs pre-meal meetings with staff; relays pertinent information such as house counts, menu changes, and special member requests.Assists in training staff on all aspects of service, including serving and bartending.Ensures side-work is accomplished and that all cleaning of equipment and storage areas is completed according to schedule.Assists in the supervision, scheduling, and evaluation of staff.Maintains end of shift inventory for all service supplies are accounted for and stored properly.Confirms time attendance and hours worked by staff.Performs POS closeout of private banquet rooms and dining outlets.Receives and assists with complaints concerning staff and service.May serve as the club’s opening and closing manager or Manager-on-Duty.Ensures compliance with local and state laws, as well as the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages.Banquets Specific:Follows floor plans according to BEO or function sheets.Collaborates with the Banquet Housepersons team on setups and breakdowns of events.Assigns station set-up based on anticipated guest counts and member needs.Serves as a liaison between banquet and kitchen staff.Monitors and controls banquet labor and supplies.Checks the maintenance of all banquet equipment and reports deficiencies to Maintenance.Dining Room Specific:Designs floor plans according to reservations and business levels.Manages inventory of dining room items including silverware, glassware, flatware, and linen.Completes daily dining room reports and submits them to senior management.Confirms and maintains reservation systems with accurate member names and numbers.Licenses and Special PermitsAlcoholic beverage certificationFood safety certificationPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.Ability to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.Continuous repetitive motions.Works in hot, humid and noisy environment.Greets and acknowledges members and guests, learning their names and special preferences.Ensures total member and guest satisfaction during their dining and banquet experiences.Knowledge of and ability to perform required roles during emergency situations.Candidate Qualifications
