Utah Public Media at the University of Utah, which includes KUER, KUUB, and PBS Utah, seeks a creative, energetic, and entrepreneurial Director of Major Gifts committed to the mission of public broadcasting. This role will expand a major giving program and work in concert with the highly successful mid-level giving clubs (Circle of Friends for KUER and Broadcasters Club for PBS Utah) for both radio and television stations.The Director of Major Gifts will collaborate with the membership, business sponsorship, grants and foundations teams, and the programming staff for KUER, KUUB, and PBS Utah, which is critical to the success of the major giving program. They will report jointly to the Director of Development for Utah Public Media and University Advancement and will have access to considerable resources provided by University Advancement, including prospect management and research services, data analytics, training and professional development, and legacy giving support.About Utah Public Media at the University of UtahUtah's only PBS station, PBS Utah, provides enriching, entertaining, and informative programming that fosters a deeper understanding of the world. We embrace new platforms, technologies, and media formats to bring communities the content and experiences they desire. KUER, the state's only statewide NPR affiliate, provides trustworthy news and information, expertly crafted stories and conversations, and voices from around the state. KUUB will expand Utah Public Media's offerings to serve a growing bilingual Hispanic/Latin audience in Utah.The stations are at a pivotal point in their history, moving on from the pandemic and a tumultuous time in media with a renewed commitment to the fundamental principles of public broadcasting: to provide services that constitute an expression of diversity and excellence and encourage the development of programming that involves creative risks, addressing the news of unserved and underserved audiences, particularly children and minorities.Institutional CommitmentUtah Public Media and the University of Utah are among the premier public broadcasters in the country.
