How this role drives the company forward:

The Manager, Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable role supports the Finance team and is responsible to ensure financial deadlines are met by ensuring Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactions are properly accounted for. This role will include preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and providing sound financial statistics.

The Manager, Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable has dedicated experience in both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. This role may independently verify, investigate, and solve any transactional accounting related issues or problems.

This position is an onsite role located in San Jose, CA.

How you will make an impact:

In this role, you will manage a versatile staff of finance professionals, while providing AR & AP services to the company. We look to our Finance staff to provide high quality support and analysis to our internal and external customers in the payment of invoices, and the complete Accounts Receivable business cycle.

What will you do:

Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team, as well as various general ledger activities.

Maintain an AR billing & collection system and an AP system that properly reflects the financial activities of the company.

Collaborate with Accounting Management to develop short- and long-term goals and objectives for AR billing & collections and AP.

Ensure goals and objectives are consistent with established company-wide goals and policies are in accordance with evolving regulations and legal requirements.

Ensure effective financial internal controls and implements new controls and/or control systems related to AR billing & collections and AP subsystems.

Work with Accounting Management to develop, write, and update detailed internal finance policies, procedures, flowcharts, training documents, and guidelines that detail the AR billing & collections and AP processes.

Monitor policies and procedures, recommends improvements, participates in establishing and implementing major goals and objectives, and serves as a resource in addressing issues related to AR billing & collections and AP.

Ensure that AR billing & collections activities and AP activities are in accordance with established legal, regulatory, and company policies and procedures.

Coordinate and facilitate the annual audit process with external auditors.

Work closely with other departments, such as R&D, Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure accurate operating expense reporting, and identifying efficient business operations.

Maintain industry level DSO and payment statistics.

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

How will you get here?

BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent is required.

Minimum 5 years of experience in AR billing & collections and Accounts Payable experience required, including prior experience managing a team of non-exempt, transactional roles.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues.

Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a track record of success in developing and mentoring staff members. Including the preparation of performance evaluations.

High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite is required.

You are amazing if you have:

Advanced experience with Excel.

Experience working in general accounting, and/or experience in financial planning and analysis, or cost accounting.

Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP or similar ERP experience.

Additional Information about the role:

The US base salary range for this full-time position, expected to be located in San Jose, CA, is $125,000 - $135,000 USD. This range may be modified at any time at our sole discretion.
