One of our top clients is looking to add a Senior Staff Accountant to their team!
The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting and reporting functions for a luxury retail company. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supports management in decision-making. The Senior Staff Accountant will work closely with the finance team to maintain the integrity of the company’s financial information and will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance business performance.
Responsibilities
Own the daily tasks of the accounting department, including daily deposits and bank reconciliations
Assist with Accounts Payable function ensuring the accuracy of coding
Liaison with store teams for cash handling, chargebacks, and receiving history
Responsible for month-end close tasks and general ledger maintenance
Serve as the expense management administrator and prepare associated reimbursements
Analyze and prepare sales tax filings and payments through Avalara
Prepare monthly reconciliations, including inventory and related adjustments
Assist with providing documentation for Year End Audit and review requests
Skills
Accounting Degree required
3+ years or more of related experience required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
