One of our top clients is looking to add a Senior Staff Accountant to their team!
The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting and reporting functions for a luxury retail company. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supports management in decision-making. The Senior Staff Accountant will work closely with the finance team to maintain the integrity of the company's financial information and will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance business performance.
Responsibilities
Own the daily tasks of the accounting department, including daily deposits and bank reconciliationsAssist with Accounts Payable function ensuring the accuracy of codingLiaison with store teams for cash handling, chargebacks, and receiving historyResponsible for month-end close tasks and general ledger maintenanceServe as the expense management administrator and prepare associated reimbursementsAnalyze and prepare sales tax filings and payments through AvalaraPrepare monthly reconciliations, including inventory and related adjustmentsAssist with providing documentation for Year End Audit and review requestsSkills
Accounting Degree required3+ years or more of related experience requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBenefits
