A love for the outdoors and enjoy being close to natureA green thumb and an exceptional aptitude for gardeningAn interest in playing a part in maintaining attractive, safe and friendly space for the community to enjoyWe invite you to submit your application for the full-time position of Leading Hand – Parks Services in Harvey.This position is responsible for supervising a team in undertaking projects and tasks in the development and maintenance of the Shire’s parks, gardens, sporting ovals and other public infrastructure to set standards in a safe and efficient manner.To be successful in this role you will have a qualification in Horticulture or extensive experience relevant to the position along with experience in leading, managing and motivating a team.Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Municipal Employees’ (WA) Award 2021 with a salary payable for this position of Level 6 ($71,450 to $73,458) per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits and conditions include:Superannuation of 11.5 per cent from date of commencement, with an opportunity for the Shire to match an employee’s voluntary contribution of five or six per cent to their nominated plan.Full-time position 76.50 hours per fortnight. Hours of work are from 7.00am to 4.00pm per day Monday to Friday with a 9-day fortnight.Four weeks paid annual leave, including a 17.5 per cent leave loading.Free membership to the Leschenault Leisure Centre, the Harvey Recreation and Cultural Centre and the Dr Peter Topham Memorial Swimming Pool.A medical examination and a current policy clearance will be required prior to appointment, costs to be reimbursed by the Shire.How to Apply
