Our flagship Gary & Mary West Senior Wellness Center in downtown San Diego operates 365 days a year and offers integrated care, including health and social services, housing navigation, enrichment activities, and linkage to over 25 onsite direct service partners.

Job Summary:

The VP of Property Management and Facilities is a senior management position responsible for overseeing and stewarding Serving Seniors' physical assets, including vehicles, equipment, and facilities. This position will develop and implement the organization’s facilities management plan, establish preventative maintenance strategies, and collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilities and Physical Assets:

Develop, implement, and oversee a facility and physical asset management plan.

Create and manage a preventative maintenance plan for all properties, vehicles, and equipment.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to facilities management.

Property Management Oversight:

Provide oversight of property management operations and maintenance functions.

Ensure timely repairs, unit turnovers, and routine maintenance.

Oversee the performance of outside contractors.

Coordinate with the facilities team to manage repairs, renovations, and improvements.

Examine property management performance against financial performance.

Review and approve property management firm’s marketing plan.

Monitor implementation of the rent schedule.

Represent ownership on new affordable housing projects.

Team Leadership:

Lead and manage the facilities team, providing direction and support.

Foster a collaborative team environment.

Collaboration:

Work closely with various departments to ensure cohesive operations.

Support the development of systems to enhance operational efficiency.

Budget and Financial Management:

Establish budgets and manage costs for property improvements.

Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective management of resources.

Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare and present reports on asset management activities.

Conduct analysis to inform decision-making.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Facilities Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

7-10 years of experience in asset management, logistics, property management, or facilities management.

Affordable Housing Experience is desired.

Proven experience in developing and implementing asset management plans.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent strategic planning, organizational, and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Proficiency in asset management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment:

This position will be based in an office environment with travel to various properties as required. Flexibility in working hours may be necessary.

Salary:

$115,000/year
