Established in 1970, Serving Seniors helps San Diego County’s low-income seniors overcome poverty through whole-person, wraparound support including meals, housing, health and social services, and enrichment activities. Our flagship Gary & Mary West Senior Wellness Center in downtown San Diego operates 365 days a year and offers integrated care, including health and social services, housing navigation, enrichment activities, and linkage to over 25 onsite direct service partners.Our Mission

The Chief Programs and Services Officer is a key executive team member, responsible for overseeing the organization’s broad range of programs and services, ensuring they align with our mission and meet the highest standards of efficiency and impact.Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Vision
Contribute to strategic planning and policy development as part of the executive team.Develop and implement long-term goals for program expansion and service enhancement.Participate in the development of funding proposals and new initiatives.Program Management
Oversee the design, delivery, and quality of programs and services.Collaborate with program directors to develop performance measures and monitor outcomes.Oversee key government contracts to ensure deliverables are achieved.Develop infrastructure and implement procedural changes to improve operations.Ensure compliance with regulations concerning nonprofit operations.Financial Management
Collaborate with the CFO to develop budgets and monitor financial performance.Ensure the cost-effectiveness and financial sustainability of program operations.Staff Leadership and Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.Foster a collaborative organizational culture that encourages innovation.Stakeholder Engagement
Represent the organization in public and networking events.Build and maintain relationships with Board members and community leaders.Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related field preferred.At least 10 years of senior leadership experience in a nonprofit organization.Demonstrated ability to lead strategic planning and operations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Expertise in managing nonprofit programs/services.A strategic thinker who understands operational and financial support.Strong understanding of the challenges specific to older adults.Pay:
