Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Sr. Manager of Engineered Products who will manage the development of new engineered products and the processes to manufacture these engineered products. In addition, this person will be responsible for coordinating R&D and Marketing efforts to supply customers with samples.

What will you be doing?

Manage and coordinate the global efforts to develop solder and Argomax preforms and the processes to manufacture them. Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, and Marketing, as well as outside contractors in the development of new engineered products.

Lead efforts in the development of innovative technologies and new processes to produce preforms.

Manage new product development, from product concepts to packaging of new preform products.

Manage projects to improve or develop processes to make preforms from different alloys, shapes, coatings, and processes.

Work with processes such as Argomax coating, Edgegate flux coating, extrusion, rolling, slitting, stamping, powder forming, and sintering; manage all tool room activities, in-line coatings, barrel coatings, de-burring, and packaging.

Develop and/or select equipment to process preforms such as pick and place, spooling, and winding.

Conduct feasibility studies on new proposed products or processes.

Prepare investment proposals, including the initial feasibility study cost, capital investment required, and financial analyses of the project.

Develop production methods with financial analyses for the development of new products with potential revenue.

Coordinate, support, manage, and monitor preform product development projects in line with the New Product Development Procedure including formulation of a plan of approach, functional and technical specifications of products and machines, and timetable and cost plan.

Set up, support, and implement preform pilot projects, responsible for analysis of the data and drawing up the conditions to be imposed on the process and product improvement activities.

Who are You?

To successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job, we are looking for someone who possesses a mechanical background in the metal processing industry.

Must have:

7 years hands-on experience in precision stamping, rolling and slitting, white metals casting, extrusion, reel to reel processing.

Ability to do basic 2D design on AutoCAD.

Very good communication skills.

Good writing skills.

Must be computer literate: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD.

Desirable:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a technical field or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.

Experience with fine mechanical work preferred.

Experience or knowledge in chemistry.
