Senior Finance Program Manager
Expedia Group seeks a seasoned Finance Program Manager to join our Global Finance Technology team. The Global Finance Technology team is responsible for supporting enterprise-wide finance-led and business-led initiatives.
This Program Manager will have fluency across three disciplines: Finance (specifically Accounting/Tax), Program Management, and Technology, and will be well versed in all three in order to bridge across our diverse stakeholder group. The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial self-starter, a fast learner, and capable of working with limited direction while taking full ownership of projects.
This Program Manager is expected to have strong business acumen coupled with tax technical and industry background, plus strong communication skills to effectively facilitate project meetings and discussions between Product, Engineering, and Finance teams. Effective time management and prioritization skills to manage multiple complex projects with various milestones and dependencies are essential to this role's success.
What you'll do:
Lead Finance driven work as a lead Program Manager, coordinating across stakeholder groups and building programs from the ground up
Lead all aspects of assigned projects and prepare detailed project tracking documentation and status updates
Lead documentation of functional area requirements, testing, and impacts
Partner with Business, Product, and Technology teams to ensure Finance requirements are identified and met prior to product launches
Synthesize complex projects driven within or outside of Finance to your stakeholder group
Lead and manage end to end execution for all projects you support
Identify project risks and escalate to leadership in a timely manner
Identify areas for improvement and develop frameworks to standardize project lifecycles
Have experience in process and template design & new process implementation
Lead with an entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on and a self-motivated personality
Have presentation skills with experience presenting to executive leadership, articulating complex concepts, and providing clear justifications and potential outcomes
Who you are:
8+ years in Finance (Accounting or Tax) field or industry + technical exposure and experience
Experience with marketplace and tech industry is recommended
Effective communication and presentation skills
Proven analytical skills, flexible, creative and results oriented
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Experience with large scale project implementations with impact to end-to-end business functions and systems
Ability to liaison between business partners to coordinate project kick-offs, stakeholder meetings, and drive projects to completion
Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with many different business partners
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new concepts and proactively seek clarification when needed
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
