SUMMARY:

The Director Supply Chain/SIOP is a key leadership role within Operations and will create, execute, and provide ownership for a Best-In-Class SIOP process to integrate supply chain functions for a global building materials manufacturing & distribution company. The SIOP process will be focused on demand and supply planning, inventory management and centralized scheduling functions. Key deliverables will be focused on the optimization of demand planning accuracy, inventory, and fill rates.

OBJECTIVES:

Implements systems & strategies to continuously align manufacturing, demand planning, capacity, management, and key performance indicators (KPI) like inventory, fill rate, and on-time delivery.

Develop and lead the SIOP process, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives.

Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create and manage demand forecasts based on market trends, historical data, and other relevant factors.

Work closely with supply chain and production teams to ensure the availability of materials, resources, and capacity to meet demand forecasts.

Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) of ERP systems and logic, specifically demand forecasting, capacity modeling & inventory forecasting.

Foster communication and collaboration among various departments to break down silos and ensure cohesive SIOP execution.

Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.

Continuously enhance the SIOP process for long term efficiency and effectiveness, identifying and implementing improvements.

Optimize inventory related working capital and cash flow across the manufacturing and distribution businesses.

Leverage best-in-class technology to effectively plan, manage, and control end-to-end supply chain to align commercial, financial, and operational plans.

Build a world-class team and learning environment that creates a competitive advantage through supply chain/planning.

Create and develop a supply chain planning organizational construct and operating platform to drive process consistency and maturity around the supply chain planning process.

Review and analyze inventory levels (on hand and on order) to determine future purchasing strategies.

Plan, direct, and administer the complete maintenance of the Demand Planning and Replenishment Planning processes.

Ensure key goals and metrics of the supply chain planning process are aligned with the goals of the organization.

Act as the subject matter expert in planning for the organization.

Operations, Sales, Transportation, and Supply Center Leadership Teams and Leadership.

Plant Manufacturing and Distribution Teams and Leadership.

Vendors/Suppliers to AMI.

Internal and External resources.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain or other related fields with a strong effective understanding of the impacts to financial results. Advanced degree in related field is desirable.

Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in supply chain preferably in supply chain planning.

Experience in realizing inventory reduction and meeting working capital goals.

Extensive experience in supply chain with emphasis on planning and forecasting.

Technologically literate in supply chain planning systems and solutions.

Well versed in Demand Planning, Replenishment Planning, and Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP).

Exercise superior analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to quickly grasp and interpret information pertinent to the growth of the organization, to accurately predict and control business outcomes and the integration of the financial and operational plan.

SIOP certification and or APICS certification preferred.

Currently holding a responsibility to plan and orchestrate end-to-end supply chain (meaning from supply base to end user) in a multi-line complex manufacturing and distribution environment.

Broad and deep experience and expertise in deploying and driving the adoption and utilization of demand planning, replenishment planning, and SIOP processes.

Demonstrates ability to work effectively across plants and functions; with people from different functional disciplines to deliver SIOP objectives.

Proven leadership, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, focusing on influencing outcomes through respect, influence, and impact rather than formal reporting line accountability.

Excellent communications and influencing skills (verbal, written, presentations).
