Reporting to the Vice President of Nursing Services, the Sr. Director Clinical Operations is responsible for programmatic and strategic responsibilities across several Med Surg areas (Oncology, Medicine, Cardiology & General Surgery). This includes interdisciplinary collaboration internally and externally, financial, quality, and patient experience responsibilities. The role also involves supporting, mentoring, and coaching nurse managers and other nurse leaders following the core leadership competencies of AONL, ensuring shared governance and the foundation of the Magnet standards are enculturated throughout.
Key Responsibilities include:
Organizational and Nursing strategic plan development and execution
Developing, monitoring, and adhering to annual operations and capital budgets for multiple units or departments
Oversight and management of interdisciplinary projects and initiatives to meet strategic goals
Responsible for organizational clinical education and professional development across a number of disciplines and managing all clinical affiliations for Nursing
Oversight of patient experience, quality, regulatory, and safety across multiple departments
