Help with proof of concept and implementation of the architecture.Collaborate with business users to understand the requirements, help with data issues, and provide training and support.Collaborate with business analysts and data engineers to identify data requirements and design data models that meet the needs of the organization.Understand data security best practices and implement appropriate safeguards.Work with IT teams to optimize data storage and processing systems for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.Design and implement data architectures that support machine learning, GenAI, and advanced analytics use cases.Stay informed of emerging data technologies and recommend solutions for enterprise adoption.QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.At least 5 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse.Data Modeling: Expertise in logical and physical data modeling techniques. Must have hands-on experience in designing tools such as Erwin, etc.Database Management: Deep understanding of relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases and implementation experience with technologies like Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, etc.Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, data lakes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Data Integration & ETL/ELT: Experience with data integration tools and processes for data movement like Azure Data Factory or similar technologies.Data Governance: Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.Data Security: Understanding of data security principles and encryption techniques.Data Analytics: Experience with analytics tools like Power BI, MicroStrategy.Programming Languages: Proficiency in SQL, potentially with scripting languages (Python) for automation.Communication: Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.Collaboration: Strong teamwork and leadership skills to guide junior team members.Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze data requirements and design optimal solutions.Problem-Solving: Skills to troubleshoot and resolve data management challenges.Knowledge/experience with AI/ML architecture is a strong plus.Familiarity with the retail industry is a plus.
