What we expect:

The Beverage Manager forms part of the Hotel Leadership team who collectively make key strategic and operational decisions for the Hotel. The Beverage Manager builds a motivated and skilled team, leads by example and instills a culture of continuous learning and improvement among employees; actively participates in Employee Relations activities and programs. Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers; lives by the Golden Rule and demonstrates standards awareness, by setting an example for standards execution, standards testing and implementing action plans to achieve established product and service goals.

We are looking for individuals who have a solid knowledge of cocktails and spirits as well as a good knowledge of wines, have creativity and flair, and are able to evidence good business acumen, a strong work ethic and people-management skills.

Applicants are required to have 3 - 4 years of relevant experience in a luxury setting.

Must have prior Mixologist and/or Sommelier experience.

The Beverage Manager should have a well-developed interest in food and wines; has undergone professional training in food and wine knowledge.

A college degree preferably specializing in Food & Beverage Management or equivalent experience is required.

Overseeing the development and implementation of bar and Beverage departmental strategies and concepts.

Ensures implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives in collaboration with Marketing & PR.

Ensuring the beverage operations in restaurants and bars meet the brand's target customer needs ensures employee satisfaction focuses on growing revenues and maximizes the financial performance of the departments.

Delivering products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand's target customer and property employees and provides a return on investment.

Inspect grooming and attire of staff and rectify any deficiencies.

Communicate with guests, other employees, and/or departments to ensure guest needs are met.

Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and wellbeing of guests.

Complete work orders for maintenance repairs.

Complete scheduled inventories of supplies, food, and liquor.

Check stock and requisition necessary supplies.

Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies, obtaining change required for expected business level, and always keeping bank secure.

Communicate last call at designated closing time.

Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees.

This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
