VACANCY ANNC #: STOI-24-080TITLE: INVENTORY SPECIALISTDEPARTMENT: PROPERTY/PURCHASINGLOCATION: WELLPINIT, WASTATUS: REGULAR, FULL-TIME, NON EXEMPTRATE OF PAY: $18.34 – $20.14 / PER HOUROPENING DATE: SEPTEMBER 5, 2024CLOSING DATE: SEPTEMBER 19, 2024INTRODUCTION:The Inventory Specialist performs data entry of tribal assets daily, annual inventory certifications, bi-annual physical inventories, tagging tribal property, keeping up to date filing systems and inventory files, tracking surplus and excess property, performing annual inventory, and other duties as assigned as they pertain to the Property and Purchasing Department.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:DATA ENTRY:

Tag and track all new items according to federal regulations. Enter data daily and process reports quarterly.ANNUAL INVENTORY:

Process paperwork and collect documentation for annual inventory, compile and edit documentation, and submit reports to the supervisor.BI-ANNUAL INVENTORY:

Schedule and complete physical inventories for each department, compile documentation, and submit reports.DISPOSALS:

Track and document disposals for end-of-year reporting.TAG & TRACK PROPERTY:

Maintain inventory files for property, including documentation for purchases needing to be tagged.SHIPPING AND RECEIVING:

Accept incoming parcels and ensure proper distribution to departments.EXCESS PROPERTY:

Notify departments of excess property and complete necessary paperwork.SURPLUS PROPERTY:

Compile documentation for surplus items as per regulations.CELL PHONE ORDERING:

Assist in tracking cell phone orders and maintain files for agreements.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR POSITION:Basic understanding of Federal Regulations related to procurement and property management.Ability to express ideas clearly in written and oral form.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Knowledge of basic accounting desired.Ability to compute moderate mathematical functions.Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Ability to establish effective working relationships with various stakeholders.Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or GED.Ability to read and understand CFR, PL 638, and funding agency regulations.Valid Washington State Driver’s license and good driving record.Experience with Microsoft software and Excel.Data entry experience.PREFERRED REQUISITES:Associate of Arts degree with accounting courses.2 years of office experience.Experience in fixed asset field.Experience in logistics.*Tribal Preference Applies*MUST APPLY ON-LINE:
