What You'll Do:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for prospecting and generating sales, developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships, and identifying and closing new business opportunities. This role involves researching market trends, creating strategic plans, and achieving sales targets while ensuring the company's growth and success.
Job Duties:Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of products and pricingReviews inventory and market trends on a daily basisIdentifies leads, manages prospects, and acquires new businessMeets or exceeds new business sales goalsCompletes prospecting activities to secure appointments with decision-makersPrepares and delivers proposals and presentations to customers and key decision-makersDraft sales quotes and other necessary paperwork in a timely mannerSubmits credit applications for potential customersIntroduces customers to financing optionsDevelops and maintains an awareness of market behavior and competitive trendsProvides and generates all documents related to deal approvalEnsures equipment is ready and presentable for purchasing customersLocates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential customersScreens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and customer qualificationsDevelop negotiating strategies by studying the integration of new ventures with company strategies and operationsCloses new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating deals, and integrating deal requirements with business operationsProtects the organization's value by keeping information confidentialEnhances the organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requestsExplores opportunities to add value to job accomplishmentsMentors junior salespeople to improve sales goals and meet expectationsRequired Skills and Qualifications:
Must present and communicate in a professional mannerExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be organized with good time management skillsProven analytical and problem-solving skillsComputer proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc)Experience in developing and executing sales strategiesStrong presentation, negotiation, and closing skillsValid driver's license and a good driving recordBachelor's degree in business administration or comparable work experience preferred3-5 years of sales experienceMust be able to consistently hit competitive sales goals and metricsAbility to travel for new hire trainingCompensation:
