The
IHAD Managing Director
is to serve under the direction of the senior pastor, as well as the Leadership Team. The IHAD Managing Director will also work with the IHAD Advisory Team, a team of people that have been delegated by the Leadership Team as a sub committee to provide direction and support for the IHAD Managing Director. As a ministry of the church the director is seen as an extension of REAL Community Covenant Church.
IHAD’s Mission
The I Have a Dream Academy is a language immersion early childhood education program, whose mission is to cultivate a love for self, a love for God, and a love for one’s neighbor within the hearts of children. I Have a Dream Child Care Center seeks to fulfill its mission by creating a learning community that champions Christian character, academic rigor, and global citizenry through language immersion in English and Spanish.

Duties and Responsibilities at Full Time:
approx. 40-50 hours/week
Annual Salary:
$40,000 per year for eleven months. (Employee can request to be paid over a twelve month period.)
Responsibilities and Roles:
Supervise all preschool staff and conduct yearly staff evaluations to assess staff developmental needs
Create and maintain a weekly schedule for all preschool staff and schedule fill-ins as needed
Schedule training for IHAD staff as needed
Develop and maintain a monthly budget based on income and expenditures
Lead devotionals for staff and students as needed
Integrate principles of the Christian faith in the preschool
Schedule annual visits with the State of Indiana to maintain licensure as a Registered Ministry and licensure for CCDF vouchers
Conduct facility tours for families who are interested in enrollment
Meet with families twice a year to discuss their child’s progress and school readiness
Work alongside staff to ensure the preschool fulfills the mission of the school, including integrating components of faith, reconciliation, and celebration of culture in curricular and extracurricular activities for the school
Work alongside staff to ensure the Spanish immersion model is maintained through curriculum, regular training, and relevant hires
Conduct regular staff meetings to address program compliance for the State of Indiana
Make sure all preschool staff maintain a minimum of 20 in-house training hours
Maintain an up-to-date Dream Academy staff and family handbook
Run weekly tuition for Dream Academy students and submit staff hours to church accountant
Maintain staff and student files for state visits
Maintain and develop relationships with program partners
Work alongside teachers to make sure curriculum outcomes are being met
Assist with the hiring of new staff members
Conduct daily walkthroughs of the facility to rectify any health/safety issues
Maintain program compliance for CCDF and On My Way PreK
Order program supplies as needed
Ensure there are systems of regular communication with preschool families and the REAL Community Covenant Church congregation.
Participate in weekly staff meetings with REAL Community Covenant Church staff.
Attend monthly meetings with REAL Leadership Team (2nd Saturday; 9-11:30am-director will only need to attend a segment of the meeting)
Work with IHAD Advisory Team/REAL Leadership Team to oversee and implement Lilly Endowment College and Community Collaboration matching grant with IWU and other non profit organizations to address early childcare challenges in Grant County
Other Requirements:
Become a committed member of REAL Community Covenant Church. Willing to make exception if candidate is already committed to another Christian church in the community. Need pastoral & member references that confirm regular participation and evidence of Christian maturity.
