with the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles!
As a vital member of the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles' Mission Advancement team, you will have the exciting opportunity to spearhead the solicitation of gifts $5,000 or more from private donors, corporations, foundations, and other donors. Additionally, you will serve as a strategic thought partner to Center Executive Directors within the Y Association to increase philanthropic support. Your efforts will directly contribute to empowering individuals, families, and communities to thrive through our diverse range of programs and services.
What You'll Do:
Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of donors and prospects, capable of giving at $5,000 or more.
Identify and research prospective donors that have the capacity to give and propensity to give to the YMCA using prospect research tools.
Take the initiative to cultivate and steward relationships with potential major donors, corporations, and foundations.
Develop a multi-year fundraising and stewardship strategy for assigned relationships.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify funding priorities and align donor interests with organizational goals.
Serve as a passionate advocate for our cause, effectively communicating the impact of philanthropic support on our community.
Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
Work in partnership with assigned YMCA executive directors, as a strategic thought partner, to help them achieve their fundraising goals.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
A dynamic and results-oriented professional with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and a proven track record in fundraising, particularly in securing major gifts.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative fundraising strategies.
Passion for our mission and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Proficiency in donor database management and Microsoft Office suite.
