We are looking for an experienced senior attorney to help our clients achieve favorable outcomes with legal matters. You will advocate for clients, advise them on the best course of action, and implement their legal support plan. You should have previous trial experience, be able to manage a heavy caseload, and use your general counsel experience and interpersonal skills to mentor our lower-level associates to ensure a continued legacy of prosperity. Responsibilities: • Keep apprised of changes to local, state, and federal statutes and laws • Supervise and mentor lower level attorneys in proper conflict resolution techniques • Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests/responses • Anticipate, prepare for, and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration on behalf of clients • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions • Assist with the discovery process by conducting depositions, issuing interrogatories and requests for the production of documents, and reviewing discovery requests, responses, and responsive discovery materials • Negotiate client-focused resolutions and settlements • Perform legal research • Communicate with clients, opposing counsels, witnesses, the court, and third parties regarding pending matters • Conduct strategy sessions with clients • Represent clients in all phases of litigation • Represent clients in trial Qualifications: • Previous experience advocating for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration • Member of state and local bar associations in good standing • Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills are desired, as are exceptional writing and verbal communication skills • Five years of experience as a senior associate in the legal industry • Four-year bachelor’s degree and successful completion of law school from an accredited law school • 3+ years experience Compensation: $140,000
