Job Summary

The Director, Talent Acquisition is responsible for successfully leading and implementing the company’s talent acquisition strategy. This role is the primary subject matter expert with Management as well as leading a direct report team focused on full-cycle talent acquisition best practices. As our employment brand ambassador, understanding and implementing a positive candidate experience is essential to success. The scope of responsibility includes partnerships with others to forecast future staffing needs, develop innovative sourcing strategies to match the company’s accelerated growth and deliver consistent results that fill career spots quickly with qualified, diverse candidates. The job scope includes supporting the North American footprint, an understanding of employment law compliance, and ensuring positive results on measurable metrics.

Essential Functions

A major contributor and thought leader on the company’s talent acquisition strategy and related action plans for the full-cycle recruiting model. Leads and coaches a direct report team to execute DuraServ's talent management strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs.

Partners with external and internal stakeholders to identify solutions for workforce staffing challenges. Provides expertise and support in resolving open job positions; recommending top talent candidates; and processes to address growth pains in the business.

Fosters and builds positive relationships and programs with vendors, third-party agencies, trade schools, and educational institutions to deliver a sustainable and strong candidate pipeline. Monitors and manages ROI effectiveness and expenses related to third-party recruitment solutions.

Effectively uses diverse communication channels and methods to attract external talent and tell the DuraServ story.

Leads and motivates Talent Acquisition team members and ensures accountability for achieving individual performance goals and company goals.

Understands and utilizes HR Analytic dashboards and reports for Management that provide predictive insights and key performance indicators related to talent acquisition KPIs and other people metrics like turnover and retention. Skillfully identifies trends and/or areas of concern and recommends actionable solutions. Is comfortable using technology and supporting HR digital solutions.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Is aware of talent acquisition trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in employment law.

Understands labor market nuances in major North America cities that influence the recruitment and hiring of professional staff, sales professionals, and technical job roles. Is familiar with the key jobs at DuraServ and can easily articulate the Team Member Persona that translates into the identification of qualified and diverse candidates.

Leads and/or participates in Special Projects related to HR and Talent Management.

Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Supervisory Duties

This role will manage the Talent Acquisition Team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

(K) The discipline of Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition: Knowledge of principles and procedures for talent management, total rewards, corporate social responsibility, culture, inclusion and diversity, employment practices, labor law, and HR technology platforms.

(K) Culture Practices: Knowledge of practices that ensure the workplace experience drives positive attraction and retention of talent, a sense of well-being and belonging, and community.

(K) Recruitment Practices: Knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Understands the core basics of recruitment practices including working with third parties and managing the recruitment process through an applicant tracking system.

(S) Communication: Provides both written and verbal communication that is concise, informative, and clear information. Is comfortable speaking in large groups. Listens attentively.

(S) Complex Problem Solving: Comprehends complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

(A) Resilience and Emotional Intelligence: Remains unbiased and resilient in challenging situations and interactions.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

In an office environment. This is not a remote role.

Prolonged periods sitting and/or at a variable desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to ten pounds infrequently.

Travel

There is limited travel in this role with periodic university or college campus recruitment events scheduled.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, human resources, or related field OR six or more years of progressively responsible experience in the HR discipline.

4+ years’ experience in full-cycle talent acquisition with supervisory responsibilities.

Experience in HCM technology platforms especially with Applicant Tracking Systems.
