Manage the legal aspects of the firm's litigation practice, overseeing a portfolio of 50-75 active cases.Serve as lead counsel throughout all stages of litigation, including pre-litigation, pleadings, discovery, trial preparation, trial attendance, post-trial, and appeals.Develop and implement case strategies, ensuring effective management and resolution of litigation matters.Conduct case management, including strategic planning, client communication, and document management.Perform risk assessments and negotiate settlements to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.Guide operational staff in implementing and approving procedural changes as needed.Prepare and draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.Handle contested default cases and manage banking litigation specific to the jurisdiction.Utilize legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis to support case development and strategy.Adapt to additional duties and responsibilities based on the firm’s needs and personal career development.Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.License to practice law in Colorado.Admission to practice before all three Colorado federal districts.3-5 years of experience as lead counsel in contested litigation, particularly representing financial institutions.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Superior organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.Proficiency in legal research applications such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, or other related systems.Skills:
