You'll handle cases from inception through resolution, including trial and appeals, making strategic decisions that align with client goals and uphold integrity. Compensation:
DOE Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage all phases of complex litigation including pre-trial investigations, discovery, motions practice, trial, and appeals. Develop litigation strategies that align with client objectives and litigation best practices. Represent clients effectively in court hearings, trials, and mediation sessions. Negotiate settlements strategically and advocate for clients’ best interests. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal support teams to ensure comprehensive case management. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of litigation practices, legal research, and industry regulations. Minimum Position Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in the California State Bar. 6-15 years of direct experience in handling complex litigation cases. Proven ability in both state and federal courts. Strong research and analytical skills aimed at delivering effective case resolution. Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading case teams and managing multifaceted litigation matters. Strong interpersonal skills to foster client relationships and team collaboration. Technical proficiency with legal databases and platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis. Experience in class action lawsuits and multidistrict litigation. Familiarity with commercial and contract law. Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities to navigate complex legal issues. Advanced written and oral advocacy skills to effectively present cases and legal arguments. Demonstrable negotiation skills for favorable outcomes in settlements and mediations. Organizational skills to manage large volumes of cases efficiently. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
