JOB SUMMARY : The Director of Slot Operations provides leadership and direction for the Slot Department. The Director ensures superior guest service is provided while maintaining employee morale at a high level. The Director also has department financial and compliance responsibilities as well as slot machine performance oversight.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership, coaching, and motivation for 40 plus department employees

Provide opportunities and development for Fort Mohave Tribal employees

Department policy and procedure development and maintenance

Team Building within the department and with all other Avi departments

Leads by example

Provide excellent guest service

Prepare monthly, annual, and capital budgets

Development of long term plans and capital requirements

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and audit requirements

Hire and appropriately train new hires

Work with Safety Manager to ensure a safe work environment

Analyze slot machine performance and make appropriate decisions

Manage the costs of leased/participation product

Develop professional working relationships with outside vendors

Modify slot floor layout to provide for customer comfort and maximize revenues

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

Perform Manager on Duty responsibilities as scheduled

Walk competitors floors to better understand market

Work with Marketing to ensure successful implementation of guest events

Stay up to date on slot technology through outside vendors and trade magazines

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:

This is a director level position responsible for the effective direction and support of all slot team members. Responsibilities include staff planning and projection; interviewing; hiring and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performances; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and succession planning for management positions including Director.
