Hiring Range: $43,348.00 - $50,170.00Workday/Hours: 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. /Monday - Friday

This position is devoted to providing inventory and warehousing functions and professional procurement and contract administration services to the City. Provides semi-skilled, prescribed work in issuing and tracking inventory of supplies and parts.

Responsible for obtaining quotes; ordering supplies; receiving shipments; reporting shortage, damage or discrepancies; entering purchasing data; issuing materials and supplies including uniforms; delivering supplies as assigned; requesting quotes; ordering products; processing payments/requesting payment approval; providing customer service; and controlling inventory.

Duties/Responsibilities

Performs warehouse operations by receiving, stocking, ordering, purchasing, and/issuing supplies, equipment, uniforms, and other materials;Operates equipment to load and unload materials; delivers supplies; monitors inventory levels; requests quotes or order materials from vendors; and processes payment transactions.Ensures proper working condition of inventory materials, supplies, and equipment; maintains cleanliness assigned work facilities including lockers, workstations, counters and shelves; may test equipment; and performs basic equipment maintenance and cleaning.Prepares, maintains, and/or processes records, logs, forms, purchase orders, invoices, and other documents; enters and updates data; reports supply or materials shortage or damage to higher-level staff; and reviews work for accuracy and completeness.Provides customer service including responding to inquiries from internal and external parties in person, via phone or online systems.Minimum Qualifications & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC)One year of related experience in the automotive or heavy duty parts industry or related field .Valid, unrestricted, North Carolina driver's license "or" if you currently have another states driver's license, must be willing and able to obtain a valid NC driver's license within 60 days of hire.A forklift certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.Additional Preferred Skills
