No?

You actually see them all the time.

But don’t worry, you’re not alone.

A “PTAC,” or Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner, is the in-wall AC unit you most commonly see below the window in your hotel room.

At RoomOne Solutions, we sell new and refurbished PTACs; manage the removal and installation of PTACs in the field; and refurbish used PTAC units to extend their useful life.

Our core customer market is hoteliers – ranging from the world’s largest brands to independent “mom and pop” small-business owners.

Additionally, we also support residential homeowners, as well as customers in managed care, multi-family housing, and dormitories.

The thing that makes us a little different is that we spend a lot of our time focused on refurbished PTACs.

We obtain used PTACs from the field, refurbish them using Lean Manufacturing techniques and processes, and then sell them via online, call center, and enterprise channels.

We do this at scale, with the mission of providing the lowest cost of conditioned air to the PTAC market.

About This RoleWe are searching for a high-octane Business Analyst to join our team in Knoxville, TN.

This role will have a heavy marketing bent, leveraging advanced analytics to help us better understand how to best serve our varied customer base.

When not learning more about our customers, this role will flex into a wide range of analytical projects across our business, from manufacturing operations, to logistics, to FP&A.

The ideal candidate is someone with a mind for data science and marketing analytics, blended with an entrepreneurial drive to see data-based insights drive business decision-making.

In this role, you will need to execute the following objectives:

Customer Insight Development:

Develop a deep understanding of our customers’ behaviors, needs, and pain points through descriptive and predictive modeling techniques.Use data to empathize with customer perspectives and identify opportunities for solving their problems proactively.

Data-Driven Marketing Optimization:

Analyze marketing performance data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.Implement and manage marketing analytics strategies to optimize marketing channels, including SEO, PPC, social media, print media, and email campaigns.

Iterative Problem Solving:

Apply iterative problem-solving techniques using machine learning to enhance marketing strategies and tactics.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to experiment, test, and refine marketing initiatives based on data-driven insights.

Demand Creation & Capture:

Develop and execute strategies to create demand and capture market interest through various marketing channels.Optimize customer conversion paths through experimentation and data driven UI/UX performance.

You’re obsessive about customers.You’re equally obsessive about everything data.You have a robust analytics and data science toolbox – Python, R, SQL, data visualization, GA4, marketing analytics, machine learning, etc.You understand and value nuance, and you’re not prone to hyperbole or absolutist statements.You’re naturally skeptical about “hunches” or “gut feels,” but you recognize the value of entrepreneurial determinism and the need to act.You love the practice of learning thru tests and experiments.You’ve read or watched Moneyball a couple dozen times.
