We serve a diverse and growing clientele that spans prominent brands to independent small-business owners, covering the hospitality, managed care, and residential apartment markets. From our EPA-certified facility in Knoxville, TN, we manage the removal and recycling of used PTAC units from thousands of properties, diverting hundreds of tons of waste away from landfills every year.

Position Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as the Director of Manufacturing Operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading a team of 25+ employees across our manufacturing, distribution, and inventory functions. Working from our Knoxville, TN warehouse, you will help evolve our operations by translating our organization's strategic priorities into actionable plans, ensuring seamless communication, resource allocation, and the development of efficient processes.

As the Director of Manufacturing Operations, your role encompasses a range of critical competencies, including:

Operational Expert: Proficient in orchestrating manufacturing, distribution, and inventory functions, optimizing them to ensure seamless and efficient operations.

Safety Champion: A dedicated advocate for safety, upholding best-in-class standards with a proven ability to instill a culture of safety excellence and implement comprehensive programs to protect the team and partners.

Talent Cultivator: Adept at identifying talent and nurturing future leaders within the organization, with a track record of building a high-performing team through recruitment, training, and coaching.

Cultural Architect: Skilled in shaping and nurturing a culture of trust, collaboration, and high performance, driving operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Position Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor operational metrics to provide visibility into performance and plan process improvement initiatives.

Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on key initiatives and processes.

Participate in the hiring, training, and professional development of departmental managers, leads, and associates.

Conduct employee performance evaluations based on organizational principles and values.

Hold regular meetings with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.

Improve customer service and satisfaction through data-driven process change.

Adhere to the company’s policies and standards and ensure legal and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in operations management, engineering, or a related business field.

Seven (7+) years of managerial experience leading manufacturing, fulfillment, or production operations.

Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.

Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and employee management.

Ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands.

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

Preferred Requirements:

Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPS, or similar process improvement methodologies.

Direct experience with supplier management and procurement/sourcing.

Experience in a small business, privately owned business, or Private Equity (PE) environment.

Multi-site leadership experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $120,000.00 per year
