Why take the Senior Tax Accountant position with the Company:Our client, a strongly performing company, is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant.The company has been in the Top 10 places to work in the Tampa Bay area for the last 3 years running and was nominated one of the fastest growing businesses in the Tampa market.This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing public company.This Senior Tax Accountant opportunity boasts incredible upward mobility and lots of visibility with execs.Perks of taking this Senior Tax Accountant role:Enjoy a nice work life balancePhenomenal benefitsExcellent company cultureResponsibilities of Senior Tax Accountant:Prepare REIT compliance tests, including quarterly asset and annual income tests.Prepare quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision calculations and footnote.Prepare annual earnings and profits calculation and supporting schedules.Assist with annual REIT taxable income projections.Responsible for federal, state, and local tax compliance, including the preparation ofaccurate federal and state estimated payment and extension calculations and forms.Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of tax return supporting schedules,including tax consolidations, tax depreciation, and state apportionment.Coordinate and interact with outside accounting firms for certain outsourced tax returnpreparation services and other projects as needed.Assist with tax audits, including sales tax audits, as needed.Complete federal and state and local tax research as needed.Ensure and document compliance with internal controls. Coordinate and updateprocess documentation as needed.Interact with accounting and other departments especially in regards to ensuringfinancial data is accurate.What the company needs in a Senior Tax Accountant:CPA is requiredBachelors in Accounting or FinanceMUST have REIT experiencePublic accounting experience preferred.Excellent technical accounting experience. Ability to research authoritative literature for proper accounting treatment.Extensive spreadsheet knowledge required.Ability to work with a team and ability to pay close attention to detail.Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 depending on experience
