Engineering CAD Designer, Senior

As the Engineering CAD Designer Senior, you will provide Engineering drawings for the documentation and production of the entire product line within the Aerospace group. You will be part of the Design Engineering department and will supply detailed product drawings on CAD systems. This position is based in our Huntsville, AL facility. You will report to the Transparencies Design Group Lead.
Key Responsibilities
Draft Engineering drawings, which require the use of multiple views, geometric construction, tolerancing, dimensioning and technical data by use of AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Compile technical drawings from sketches, existing graphics files, engineering input and develop geometric construction and text-based information to prepare New Product, Component, Tooling, Process drawings and work instructions for engineering and customer evaluation.
Coordinate and document revisions and engineering changes for products or tools as they are developed.
Coordinate CAD data revision and engineering control and maintain this information in the PDM database.
Develop 2D digitized files and develop .dxf graphics files for Component machine programs.
Develop 3D models of Windshields, Components, and Tooling.
Develop design drafting best practices.
Qualifications
Associate degree in Drafting and two years of experience in a full-time CAD drafting position or High School Diploma with a curriculum that included CAD drafting classes.
Four (4) years of experience in a full-time drafting position.
Experience with AutoCAD 2D, SolidWorks 3D, and blueprint reading/plotter/copier equipment is also required.
Familiarity with coordinate measuring systems and reverse engineering is a bonus.
