Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Emergency Department Job Duration: 13-week contract Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: 3+ years in Emergency Room or 2 years in Emergency Room with a minimum of 3 years as a Registered Nurse License: Kentucky RN License Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Must-Have: - 3+ years of experience in Emergency Room or 2 years in Emergency Room and 3 years minimum as a Registered Nurse - Ability to float to any unit Job Description: - Provide exceptional care in an Emergency Department with a focus on patient safety and quality care- Manage a variety of patient types with varying levels of acuity, maintaining patient ratios of 4/5 to 1- Use medical equipment such as defibrillators, pacemaker interrogators, Doppler, ultrasound, A-lines, and CO2 monitoring- Operate within an electronic medical record system (EMR)- Maintain a positive attitude, work collaboratively with a team, and demonstrate a jovial personality- Wear galaxy blue scrubs, with the option of black pants- Participate as needed in weekend hours, with no call requirementsThis position is part of a facility known for advanced heart care and a range of medical milestones, offering both acute inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.
