Patent Attorney / Patent Agent OpportunityLocation: Nashville, TN 37202This highly regarded law firm has clients across a variety of industries and a strong flow of work related to a range of technologies, including medical devices, materials, mechanical design, consumer electronics, industrial equipment, software, and computer engineering.This is a collegial environment where you will interact directly with clients at all levels. Strong social and communication skills are essential. The primary responsibilities will include:Patent preparation and prosecutionPatent opinions (patentability, freedom to operate, validity, infringement, enforceability)Patent portfolio assessmentsDue diligenceAttorney Requirements:
Minimum BS in Engineering (e.g., mechanical, biomedical, materials, electrical, computer, aeronautical) or Physics. An MS or higher is valued.JD, State Bar, USPTO Bar with a solid academic background.At least 2 years of full-time patent drafting and prosecution experience.Prior product development engineering experience is valued.Agent Requirements:
Minimum BS in Engineering (e.g., mechanical, biomedical, materials, electrical, computer, aeronautical) or Physics. An MS or higher is preferred.USPTO Bar with a solid academic background.At least 2 years of full-time patent drafting and prosecution experience.Prior product development engineering experience is valued.Additional Notes For Candidates:All fees are paid by client firms and companies.
