Temp-to-Hire AR Accountant

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
This position is an integral part of the sales and cost recognition cycles for transformer and turn-key projects. Responsibilities include entering and tracking of inventory and assisting in the invoicing and collections process, including responding to inquiries, investigating variances, and ensuring that project billings are issued to customers and payments collected.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

• Enter and track inventory purchases
• Oversee purchasing and sales of gear product line
• Create invoices according to company practices and submit invoices to customers.
• Collect payments from customers and accurately record them in the system
• Assist with meeting revenue projections
• Assist with monthly cash projection
• Business partnering with non-finance inter-departmental managers to ensure timely and proper revenue recognition
• Prepare special project analyses for the Project Managers and Senior Management as needed
• Provide year-end support of auditor requirements, which may include research and reconcilement
• Perform additional assignments, as directed by the Director of Finance.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, especially ASC 606 and IFRS 15
• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including experience in word processing, spreadsheets and accounting software.
• Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Good time management skills
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.
• Employ problem-solving skills and analysis, and report problems to the Director of Finance, as necessary.
