The Land Stewardship Division within Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) is responsible for the maintenance and management of developed parks, natural areas, community gardens, and trails. We are great team. Our goal is to help park visitors connect with green spaces by providing programs and facilities that promote physical, mental, and social well-being. The Land Stewardship Division is seeking a Community Service Aide II (CSA II) to support its initiatives and programs through administrative and technical assistance. This role is primarily office-based and includes opportunities for fieldwork, with a focus on database management and geographic information system (GIS) support. Under the guidance of senior staff, the CSA II will manage a variety of tasks from preparation to execution, ensuring the smooth operation and success of Land Stewardship's projects. and triage community feedback to determine requests that need to be forwarded to other workgroups, escalated to relevant staff, or saved to a report.Provide

project support for the Park Maintenance Review Project by overseeing the logistics of on-site park maintenance reviews, including scheduling, training, and day-of execution, as well as develop templates and enter data to complete reports.Provide

project support for the Portable Toilet Project, including entering data into a mapping tool to document accessible, safe, and serviceable placement locations for portables.Coordinate

with portable vendors and internal staff to assist with portable ordering, installment, maintenance, and placement feedback.Manage

To QualifyThe following minimum qualifications are required for this position:

Experience

using technology tools for data management, including creating, editing, and analyzing geographic data.Ability

to manage and analyze community feedback using software, including triaging responses, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring timely and effective communication with the public.Knowledge

of organizational tools and strategies.Experience

coordinating and supporting project logistics, from planning and scheduling to execution, including effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors or partners.Ability

to perform administrative tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, including developing report templates, data entry, and maintaining comprehensive records and documentation.
