Job description
FULL TIME STAFF ACCOUNTANT
We are a family-owned construction business with multiple divisions and locations established 30 years ago. We require a driven, reliable, and knowledgeable construction staff accountant that is comfortable with consistent levels of responsibility and workload.
Duties/Responsibilities
AP entry
Vendor Statement & GL reconciliations
Ideally experience with journal entries, payroll entries, depreciation and sales tax.
Monthly bank statements, organize and update financial records
Accruals, trial balance preparation
Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
Maintains the general ledger.
Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
Files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
CPA Firm experience with client-write up (3 years)
Intermediate Excel is required.
QuickBooks experience is a plus.
Pass a Non-DOT Drug Test
Position is 100% in office
Minimum of 3 years of construction accounting.
This position will have growth over time. This is a serious role in a competitive organization.
