Due to tremendous growth, we are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. This position will assist in various accounting functions including, but not limited to: Accounts Payable, month-end closing, balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

This is an entry level position and will directly report to the Senior Regional Controller. Role and Responsibilities:Review AP invoices to ensure accurate ledger codingPrepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts as assignedPrepare and reconcile bank accounts as assignedPrepare and record approved journal entries as assignedResolve reconciling items through research and initiate adjustments as neededParticipate in financial statements review and prepare financial reporting packagesResearch and investigate accounting and hotel operation inquiries as assignedAssist with process improvement and automation projectsProvide support on ad hoc projectsQualifications and Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business or Finance experience1+ years of experience in multi-unit real estate / hospitality accounting preferredStrong software skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate level in Excel preferred)Good understanding of GAAP conceptsCollaborative team player who is focused, self-motivated, detailed oriented, accurate and flexible - able to quickly adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlinesWilling to perform business enhancing functions that are outside the normal scope of workAbility to work with minimum supervisionDisplay analytical and problem-solving abilityExemplary communication (verbal and written) and organizational skillsAbility to maintain strict adherence to confidentiality requirements
