(3-4 days per week in office)A rapidly growing EdTech startup is on a mission to transform early childhood education through Conversational AI, focusing on teaching young children how to read. With a recent seed round of funding secured, the company is positioned for significant growth and is seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its technology development and strategy.They're looking for an innovative and highly skilled CTO to join their 20-person team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI and recommendation systems, with extensive experience scaling technology in a Seed or Series A stage environment. This role involves leading a technology team currently based in LATAM, with plans to transition the team to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where they will operate on-site or in a hybrid model. The CTO will also be required to work on-site in the Dallas-Fort Worth area 3-4 days per week.Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that supports the company's vision and business objectives, emphasizing scalability, security, and user engagement.Team Leadership: Lead and manage an engineering team of 8 members, currently located in LATAM, through a strategic transition to the U.S., establishing a high-performance, collaborative, and innovative work culture.AI and Recommendation Systems: Drive the development of cutting-edge AI models and recommendation systems to enhance the personalization and effectiveness of the company’s educational platform.Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from ideation and design to deployment and optimization, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.Innovation: Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in AI and EdTech, and introduce innovative solutions to keep the company competitive.Fundraising Support: Participate in investor meetings alongside the leadership team, providing technical expertise and vision to support future fundraising efforts.Infrastructure and Architecture: Design and maintain a scalable, reliable, and secure technical architecture for the platform, balancing performance with cost-effectiveness.Qualifications:

Experience: At least 10 years in technology roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position such as CTO, VP of Engineering, Director of Engineering, Engineering Manager or similar.Startup Experience: Previous experience in a technology leadership role at a Seed or Series A stage company, with a track record of successfully scaling technology and teams in a high-growth environment.Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of AI, machine learning, and recommendation systems, with hands-on experience in natural language processing (NLP), deep learning, and other relevant AI technologies.Team Management: Demonstrated ability to manage and scale an engineering team of at least 8 members, with a strong focus on talent development and results-driven leadership. Experience managing distributed teams is advantageous.EdTech Passion: A genuine passion for education and experience with EdTech products is highly desirable.Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and align cross-functional teams around a shared vision.Entrepreneurial Mindset: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment with high levels of autonomy and responsibility.Location Requirement: Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with the ability to work in a hybrid model (3-4 days on-site per week).What’s on Offer:
