Job Summary

This position is responsible for all activities of assigned communities. This includes developing revenue, controlling expenses, actions of community team, maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards, filling in for vacant Executive Directors, and communicating with the managing company on all appropriate matters.Essential Functions

Support the Executive Directors in managing all marketing efforts and service programming to meet the expected revenue achievement of the building on a monthly basis. Manages daily expenses including labor and controllable expenses in order to meet NOI objectives on a monthly and yearly basis. Ensures all reports are completed and sent to the managing company in a timely manner and as required by overseeing agencies.Supports the Executive Directors in the screening, hiring, training, coaching, disciplining, and terminating of all employees within their community either personally or through their designee. This includes all areas of training that are required by the managing company, state, and federal jurisdictions, and upon individual need.Supports the Executive Directors in maintaining a safe environment for all employees, free from workplace hazards and harassment. Discusses all personnel matters that concern meeting standards with Vice President, Operations. Ensures the Executive Directors oversee each department in the building to assure that services and work are up to the standards set by the managing company.Supports the Executive Directors in ensuring that all employee evaluations are completed per the managing company policy. This includes timely evaluations of all employees upon 90 days of employment, annual evaluations, and change of position evaluations. Ensures Performance Evaluations are a true reflection of the entire body of work for each employee since the last time an evaluation was completed and will set out employment growth and/or improvement issues.Responsible for timely responses to all resident, family, employee, community, and regulatory complaints. Encourages open communication in order to resolve issues and updates the involved parties on the status of their issues. Informs Milestone of complaints as required in policy.Responsible for maintaining compliance with all local, state, federal, and licensing rules and regulations associated with the licensure of the building as they pertain to clinical and risk management activities. This includes HIPAA, OSHA, and State Survey issues, etc. that apply to the specific location of the property. Issues raised by any regulator will be immediately discussed with Vice President, Operations.Ensures all employees work in a safe manner and that unsafe actions are brought to the attention of the offending employee, including disciplinary action if warranted. Compliant with Safety Committee standards. Should workplace injuries occur, the Executive Director is responsible for supporting all procedures for treatment, investigation, return to work, and management of the injured worker, communication with care provider and Milestone.Responsible for maintaining positive relations with community referral sources, the community at large, and all visitors, guests, and residents. Resident Satisfaction and Employee Satisfaction Surveys will measure the success of the Executive Directors in building relations with residents, families, and staff. Manages the compliance with the Marketing Plan set forth by the managing company and works to achieve specifics of that plan with the goal to meet occupancy requirements.Fosters teamwork with co-workers, shows initiative in overcoming obstacles, takes actions which assist others beyond job responsibilities, and has a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
