job summary:Description

The

Business Systems Analyst

serves as the first level contact for end-user's issues and requests at the plant and shipping locations. This position is responsible for ensuring the use of the company's ERPs, supportive applications and SQL databases function as expected. The Business Systems Analyst will be involved in supporting numerous facets of the business beyond manufacturing including fulfillment (orders, picking, shipping, receiving, etc.) and integrations with 3rd party systems. Incumbents function as a liaison between IT and users and have both business and technical expertise. Reports to the Director of IT.

Requirements

- Responsible for the configuration, customization and support of our client's manufacturing systems environment which consists of Infor SyteLine, Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS), ShopTrack, SureShip and the Scheduling Planning Database (SPD) system.

- The ability to analyze and solve complex manufacturing system problems, understand relational databases, specifically Microsoft SQL.

- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates the business and end user requirements to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies.

- Creates custom reports and provides data analytics.

- Assists with the maintenance and support of any data lake, data warehouse or similar data repositories.

- Assists with EDI and API translations between SyteLine and 3rd party systems.

- Assists the BI Analyst with data integrity and source integration with BI apps such as Domo and Power BI.

- Documents system requirements, defines scope and objectives, and creates system specifications that drive system upgrades and disaster recovery.

- Responsible for meeting or exceeding company performance metrics for driving improvement and making well informed decisions for manufacturing activities, resource allocation and strategic planning.

- Implement changes and apply new patches/versions when required.

- Accountable for all production and manufacturing requests and issues.

- Maintains familiarity with industry best practices, seeks to apply continuous improvement with an innovation mindset.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

- Experience with Infor SyteLine ERP or another ERP.

- Automate and improve processes via scripting.

- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSRS. Applies best practices to maintain a healthy database.

- Ability to independently troubleshoot advanced application and database issues.

- Proven knowledge of stored procedures and indexing.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to prioritize, plan, schedule, focus, and act on several projects or problems simultaneously.

- Experience working with ZPL is helpful but not required.
