We are looking for a dynamic leader to join our award-winning hospitality team in the full-time position of General Manager. As General Manager, your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that our guests enjoy an unforgettable stay. You will oversee daily hotel operations and provide comprehensive leadership as we uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional guest service and achieving financial success. The ideal candidate will have a background in hotel, restaurant, or food service management and possess strong leadership skills. You will have the opportunity to participate in our target-based incentives and bonus program of up to 20%.

Purpose of Position:

Direct the day-to-day hotel operations in a manner which ensures objectives are met through well-trained and knowledgeable staff serving guests' wants and needs at all times, exceeding company goals and expectations of total quality service and profitability.

Hire, develop, and retain guest service employees, in a manner consistent with the company ethics, goals, policies, and procedures.

Train, direct, and hold employees accountable to meet daily expectations in all operations of the hotel in a manner which will meet all company expectations of quality service.

Maintain a hotel atmosphere consistent with the company standards for professionalism and total quality guest service.

Set schedules and goals for employees which will encourage long-term growth and promote career opportunities within the company.

Ensure the front desk is personally greeting guests, registering guests, making room assignments, providing transportation, and supporting all other functions in the hotel in such a manner that exceeds company quality service and profit expectations.

Develop a thorough knowledge of the market, the competition, and the demands in the area for the purpose of consistently maximizing hotel rates and occupancy.

Consistently track, improve, and build volume by exceeding revenue and guest expectations.

Develop short-term and long-term financial and operational plans for the hotel which supports the overall objectives of the company.

Ensure all guest complaints are effectively resolved according to company standards.

Work cooperatively as a team with the Regional Vice President and Director of Sales in planning and carrying out sales blitzes in the hotel's targeted area for the purpose of building corporate business.

Actively enforce all safety measures to protect company assets, employees, and guests.

Develop and maintain a professional image as a member of the company management team, supporting the company in actions and words at all times.

Establish and maintain a pro-active human resource function to ensure employee motivation, training and development, wage/benefit administration, and compliance with established labor regulations.

Establish and maintain applicable preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the hotel.

Develop new programs which result in an increased level of guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

Hilton experience preferred.

Proven track record as a General Manager in a full-service hotel environment.

Extensive experience in hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and sales.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve common goals.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field is highly desirable.
