Job RequirementsWe are seeking a skilled hospitality professional with Hilton experience to oversee our hotel operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences. As the General Manager of DoubleTree by Hilton, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of the hotel, including guest relations, front desk operations, and supervising staff. Your leadership skills and strong customer service orientation will be essential in creating a welcoming and memorable stay for our guests.

In this role, you will anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests in a timely manner. Maintaining positive guest relations at all times will be a top priority, as you strive to resolve any guest complaints and ensure their satisfaction. Your comprehensive knowledge of hotel features/services, hours of operations, room rates, special packages and promotions, daily house count, and expected arrivals/departures will enable you to provide accurate and helpful information to our guests.

You will also collaborate closely with the sales manager on organizing events and managing catering. This is a comprehensive hotel with ample meeting space and food and beverage operations that necessitate careful supervision.

To provide support as needed, you will also receive training in Food and Beverage operations. This will allow you to assist in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. Answering phone calls politely and in a timely manner will be part of your daily responsibilities, as well as completing daily checklists before the scheduled end of each shift.

As the General Manager, you will play a vital role in driving sales initiatives and implementing the Daily Sell Strategy effectively. Your contribution to revenue management and sales calls will be instrumental in maximizing the hotel's profitability. Additionally, you will be responsible for relaying any maintenance requests from guests or housekeeping to the appropriate personnel, ensuring a comfortable and well-maintained environment for our guests.

Qualifications

Previous experience in full service hotel management is preferred but not required. This includes experience in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.

Proficiency in basic math calculations is required. This includes the ability to handle financial transactions, calculate room rates, and manage budgets.

Strong computer skills are essential. This includes proficiency in hotel management software, as well as the ability to use Microsoft Office programs for administrative tasks.

Experience with a Hilton hotel brand is advantageous. This includes familiarity with Hilton's standards and procedures, as well as a strong understanding of the brand's customer service philosophy.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. This includes the ability to effectively communicate with guests, staff, and corporate representatives.

Ability to stand at the front desk for extended periods (up to 8 hours). This includes the physical stamina to handle the demands of a busy hotel environment.

Flexibility in work schedule as needed. This includes the willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate the needs of the hotel and its guests.
