ERDMAN Management Consulting seeks a Director to work closely with the Managing Director and other senior leadership on client engagements, providing strategic and financial-related services to our clients. This role will lead multiple simultaneous client engagements and direct the supporting team members with minimal oversight. The Director will present to senior management teams and boards and drive the client organizations toward decisions around critical issues.

Responsibilities include:

Demonstrating a detailed understanding of the healthcare industry (including historical and contemporary issues about providers, payment, and policy) with the ability to communicate complicated concepts to a variety of clientsLeading the development of ERDMAN Management Consulting assignments, including research on the evolving nature of specific markets, development of enterprise-wide strategies for health systems, assessment of growth strategies and strategic options in consolidating markets, and creation of service distribution plansCreating analytical frameworks to support key questions facing our clients, including assessment of organizational positioning across key dimensions such as quality, cost, access, and competitive positionProviding practice development by playing a key role in the professional development of ERDMAN Management Consulting staff and leading their success and outcomes on engagements.Taking accountability for practice-wide management, such as resource planning, financial management, knowledge management infrastructure, or another area.Providing excellent project management to ensure successful outcomes from both ERDMAN Management Consulting and our clients’ perspectivesExpanding thought leadership at ERDMAN Management Consulting and within the healthcare industry through the creation of intellectual capitalKey Characteristics:In addition, the successful candidate will possess the following:10+ years of experience in a consulting role focused on the healthcare provider marketAbility to manage diverse projects, including organizational planning, growth strategies, exit strategies, partnership evaluation, physician strategy, etc.Strong knowledge of key issues and trends facing the healthcare industry impacting strategic, operational, or financial planningStrong facilitation skills both within organizations (e.g., with Board, management, and physician leaders) and across organizations (e.g., discussions among multiple entities)Excellent analytical skills and the ability to develop and evaluate business and financial projectionsDemonstrable project management experience in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage 3-5 simultaneous engagements within the practiceSolid technical and analytical computer skills. Advanced Microsoft, PowerPoint and Excel skills a must; experience with Visio, Tableau, and benchmarking systems is strongly preferredHigh-energy individual with a passion for healthcare and solving complex issuesAbility to identify key operational performance drivers and flexibility to support a broad array of clients is a mustExcellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to communicate with and present information to all levels of client personnelApplicants for employment must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with ERDMAN (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status)Current Permanent US Work Authorization RequiredEducation:

Bachelor’s degree required, MBA, MHA, or advanced degree in healthcare strongly preferred

Certifications and/or Licenses:

FACHE, ACPE, ACHE, CHC

Work Environment:Domestic Travel Required: 50-75% of the timeThe corporate office is based in Madison, Wisc. and you will be required to travel to the office for firm and client eventsWork is regularly performed in a combination of office, home office, and client settings and routinely uses standard office equipmentIt will require the maintenance of a home office and proximity to an airport for work-related travelHours of work will generally be during regular business hours and beyond and will average more than 2,300 hours per year.
