Your role
ENGINEERING : Propose and implement engineering processes, procedures, and technical resources in accordance with Symrise engineering policy and industry best practices.
Create commonality and standards for Engineering throughout the organization.
Methodically implement automation and controls to the organization to streamline processes, produce repeatability.
Ensure that an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations. Never implement any change without first questioning its impact in relation to product safety/quality, people safety and the environment.
Ensure the use of company Management of Change (MOC) procedures.
Adherence to federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
CAPITAL MANAGEMENT : Responsible for all aspects of capital management and budgeting for Animal Nutrition.
Manages Global capital spend, forecasting, and budgeting.
Ensures alignment with business strategy and priorities.
Reviews and approves project cost control reports, cost estimates, and manpower and facilities requirements forecast.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT : Responsible for all aspects of capital management and budgeting for SPF NAM.
Lead, from start to finish, the efforts of key stakeholders in large capital projects (e.g., project engineers, technicians, contractors, facility leaders/users, functional experts, finance, etc.) to ensure that corresponding business objectives are achieved.
Leads stakeholders in large capital projects through a thorough stage-gate approach for all key phases of projects (exploration, development/scoping/feasibility, planning, implementation, commissioning).
About you
BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
A minimum of 6-10 years successful engineering experience in the food industry.
At least three years of successful experience leading large capital projects.
